In May, foreign ministers of the BRICS countries met virtually ahead of the summit. Since its formation, BRICS has developed as win-win cooperation between the five governments and an extravagant force for the evolution of international order, improvement of global governance, and promulgation of common goals. The bilateral relations among the member states revolve around non-interference, equality, and mutual benefit. The states have been meeting formally after the first summit in June 2009 at Yekaterinburg, Russia. BRICS is a grouping of five emerging economies including Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa formed in September 2006 at the 61 st session of UNGA.
